FC Porto won the Portuguese Primeira Liga



Portuguese Primeira Liga this season is remaining five games. However, yesterday (4/4/2011) FC Porto already clinched it. The assurance was obtained after FC Porto defeated its main rival, Benfica, 2-1.

Porto are now collecting 71 points. They are 16 points ahead of Benfica in second place. Benfica could not displace the position of Porto because of the competition leaving only five games.

Success Porto as well carve a new record. Because, until the 25th game, they have not touched the defeat. In 25 games, 23 times they win and two draws.

Porto victory is determined by Fredy Guarin scored in the 9th minute, and a penalty by Hulk in the 26th minute. The only goal scored by the host by Javier Saviola in the 17th minute.

"My goal is important. We are aware, we must humble when facing a great team. We offer congratulations to all members of the team, not just for me or Guarin," said Hulk, as quoted by the official UEFA website.

FC Porto are now following target is trying not to lose until the competition ends. "The most important we won. But we must not relax because we want to end the league without losing," said Hulk.

Porto coach, Andre Villas Boas are very happy after successfully delivering a champion FC Porto. In the age that is 33 years, he recorded a record as one of the youngest coach who led his club win in Portugal.
