Ajax Amsterdam won their 30th Dutch Eredivisie title after beating champions FC Twente 3-1 in the Amsterdam Arena on Sunday (15/05/2011), Matches between the two teams is a deciding who is winning Eredivisie 2010/2011. Twente, who beat Ajax 3-2 in last weekend's Dutch Cup final, went into the game leading by a point.
Ajax makes a goal in minute 23 through Siem De Jong. De Goedenzonen two-goal lead after Denny Landzaat make an own goal early in the second half. Twente hit back through Theo Janssen to set up a thrilling climax.
But a second De Jong goal made the game safe as Ajax secured their first Dutch title win since 2004.
These results bring Frank de Boer's team ended the competition this season with 73 points or two points ahead of FC Twente. Overall, Ajax record 22 victories, seven draws and five defeats in the Eredivisie 2010/2011.
Ajax's success is also Frank de Boer's first league title, who began his coaching career by replacing Martin Jol in December.
