The victory put an end to drought Lille title for 56 years. Lille chance even reached double winner this season if they can survive at the top Ligue-1 until the end of the season.

But there was to be no miracle for PSG, who could not muster anything in the minutes that remained, as Lille claimed the Coupe de France for the sixth time and in the process, ended their 56-year trophy drought.
