Cameroon Fans Burn Eto’o Jerseys

As reported by news.cameroon-today.com, Cameroonian soccer fans burnt Samuel Eto’o’s jersey in anger against the teams dismal performance in African qualifying.

In a sign that local fans have yet to get over the goalless draw Cameroon was held to by Senegal last weekend in 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifying a replica of Samuel Eto'o's number nine jersey has been burned in Yaoundé by irate fans who posted the act on Youtube. The Inter Milan striker lost out on a last minute penalty that would have lost out on the Indomitable Lions’ qualifying chances.

The video was posted ten days ago and has attracted close to 20,000 views, with fans having a war of words with each other underneath.

Cameroon saw their qualifier chance fly further away from them after a disappointing stalemate with Senegal as the Teranga Lions edge closer to Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
