Messi was punched by Rosario Central supporter



Lionel Messi had a punch thrown at him by a school-age assailant on Thursday (6/2/2011). This incident happened when a fan of local giants Rosario Central punched him in the face on leaving a restaurant to pose for a photo.

The hero of the Champions League final was eating lunch in the Club de la Milanesa restaurant with two friends, when a group of schoolchildren gathered outside and requested a photograph with one of the region's most famous sons.

Finished lunch, Messi stood with the youngsters when he was spotted by a fan of Central. "I'm a Central supporter, you're from Newell's", the unknown individual reportedly shouted, landing a punch on Messi's face before being separated by the crowd which had gathered to see Barcelona star.

Messi meanwhile made no reaction to hit back, The supporter of Rosario Central easy to do his action because Messi with no security personnel and accompanied only by his friends. Messi not react to attacks. He quietly moved from the scene without any comment. Messi is known as a supporter of Newell, the club where he started his career before moving to Barcelona academy eleven years ago.
