AC Milan failed meet ambitions reach two titles this season. Rossoneri lost 1-2 when a visit to Palermo in the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg, making them failed towards to the finals, having lost an aggregate 3-4.
After the first leg at San Siro 2-2 draw, Milan appear to attack since the early minutes. But after playing without a goal in the first half, goalkeeper Christian Abbiati conceded twice in the second half. The hosts took the lead through Giulio Migliaccio shortly after the hour-mark. Cesare Bovo then doubled the home side's advantage with a penalty after a foul by Mark Van Bommel, for which the ex-Bayern Munich man received his marching orders.

Bovo was then sent off himself for a horrible kick on Alexandre Pato. Substitute Zlatan Ibrahimovic clawed one back just before the final whistle, but it was too little, too late as Palermo advanced to the Coppa Italia final thanks to a 4-3 aggregate victory.
Qualify for the finals, Palermo will face the winner of match between Inter Milan vs. AS Roma. Nerazzurri currently considered superior aggregate 1-0 and have a great chance to qualify as the second leg will be held at the Giuseppe Meazza.
