Super Mario starts Man City up and reveals T-shirt for girlfriend Raffaella

Italian Striker Mario Balotelli was in the mood for love as he helped Manchester City take a five-point lead from Manchester United at the top of the Premier League after beat Blackburn Rovers 3-0.

Raffaella, Ti Amo
Mario Balotelli opened the scoring with half an hour gone at the Etihad Stadium and celebrated by revealing a T-shirt emblazoned with the words: ‘Raffaella Ti Amo’ — I love you, Raffaella. It was a message to his model girlfriend, Raffaella Fico.

A second goal, hammered in from close range by Sergio Aguero, made sure of the points before substitute Edin Dzeko headed in a third just after coming on, bad news for the fourth-choice forward Carlos Tevez, who is not yet fit and did not attend yesterday's walkover.

Talking about Mario, He even had her name stamped on his boot to emphasise his passion for the dark-haired 23-year-old beauty who is based in Naples.

The last time Balotelli sent a message by revealing his T-shirt it was during City’s sensational 6-1 thrashing of Manchester United at Old Trafford late in October 2011, when the words read ‘Why Always Me?’.

He had hit that day’s headlines when it was revealed fireworks had been set off inside his house the previous night.

This is Super Mario!

After break, it did not take long for Hernandez to listed his name back on the scoreboard as Michael Carrick shot from the edge of the box, but a deflection took it straight to the little Mexican, who was left with the simplest of finishes.

With 23 minutes to go, Rooney claimed his hat-trick, smashing a Nani pass into the bottom left corner after the winger received a brilliant pass from Ryan Giggs and picked out the England international on the edge of the penalty area. That goal consolidated a remarkable feat with Rooney becoming the first player in Premier League history to score eight goals in four matches.
