Inter Milan come from behind to beat Lazio 2-1



Inter had to come from behind to see off a spirited Lazio side at the San Siro to claim a 2-1 victory at Giuseppe Meazza stadium, Saturday (23/4/2011). The match also marked by two red cards received by one player from each team.

Since the mid-first half, the home team had to play with 10 men after Julio Cesar got a red card. Lazio was leading ahead after Mauro Zarate scored from penalties.

However, Inter showed their class and successfully evened the score through Wesley Sneijder free kick a few minutes before halftime.

In the second half, Inter successfully reversed the situation after Samuel Eto'o's shot conquer Fernando Muslera.

In an attempt to equalize Biancoceleste even lose Stefano Mauri. Maury sent off after receiving a second yellow card due to fighting.

The victory for Inter Milan see them leapfrog Napoli into second place, after their rivals suffered a 2-1 loss away to Palermo. With only four games left to play though Inter have very little time to rein in Milan's 5 points lead at the summit of Serie A. Lazio remain 4th on 60 points since Udinese also lost, 2-0 to Parma.
