Ancelotti will take a year off



Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti said on Monday (6/6/2011) he is in no hurry to return to coaching a club and plan to take a year off.

The former AC Milan coach recently got the sack at Chelsea, Ancelotti led Chelsea to the Premier League and FA Cup double last year (2009/2010), in his first season at the club, but was sacked last month after the London club failed to win a trophy this season.

He has since been linked with clubs such AS Roma, Aston Villa and Fulham, but he is not interested in taking up a new job just yet.

The ex-AS Roma player then went on to say that he still has the ambition to coach AS Roma at one point in his career, but this time is not right yet to lead at Olimpico stadium.

He said recent events had not put him off England and he would stay in London.
