Just hours after reportedly saying that Alexis Sanchez is set to join Barcelona, the Udine club’s chief has denied any deal has been arranged. Goal.com says Udinese have denied that there is any sort of agreement with Barcelona over the transfer of Alexis Sanchez to the European Champions.
Udine's President Franco Soldati issued a statement on their official website on Tuesday, saying that they have not started negotiations with Barca for the sale of their attacker.
He would prefer Manchester United move?
Manchester United know the price needed to pay for Udinese star Alexis Sanchez. The Sun says the Red Devils were hoping to land the Chile golden boy, 22, for £5m less - but Udine Club are refusing to lower their asking price.
And there is a belief at Man Utd, who have also held extensive talks, that it is a ploy by Udinese to push up Sanchez's price.
