Baerke van der Meij could be youngest soccer player ever signed a professional club. Think, while signed the Dutch Eredivisie club, VVV Venlo, van der Meij age was not yet two years old!.
From his birth records, van der Meij was aged 18 months, or year and a half. Venlo interested to sign him because of van der Meij create impressive action on the social networking site YouTube, to be precise with the address in the 'Amazing football / soccer talented boy from the Netherlands 1.5 year old !!!!'. The movie of Venlo’s footballing toddler Baerke has been viewed 900,000 times on various websites such as Youtube and Dumpert. U.S. network CNN and the American magazine Sports Illustrated put the movie on their website.

Could be because of seeing it as a certain talent, Venlo was handed a professional contract duration of ten years.
This adorable child had followed the practice session with Ken Leemans Venlo star in stadium De Koel before signing a contract.
"Favourite position has not been determined. However, we can know he is a strong player with the right foot with a good kicking technique, perseverance and most importantly, he has good genes from his grandfather," wrote VVV Venlo in their release, quoted by goal.com.
Van Der Meij does have a grandfather who could defend VVV Venlo. The club also showed a professional contract has been signed that adorable child.
