Manchester United exact revenge for May's painful defeat

In front of nearly 82,000 supporters Manchester United beat European champions Barcelona 2-1 in a pre season friendly at FedEx Field in Washington DC, USA.

Is it a revenge?, I don't think so, why? because Barcelona without their best players Messi, Xavi, Dani Alves, Javier Mascherano, Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol on the game apart in May's Champions League final.

Nani put Manchester United ahead in the 22nd minute. Danny Welbeck slipped a pass between two Barcelona defenders for Nani, as it managed to break Barca’s off side trap to set up the first goal.

Barcelona equalised in the 70th minute with a stunning strike from Thiago Alcantara. He smashed home a brilliant shot from 25 yards that swerved away from David De Gea and into the upper corner of the goal.

Six minutes later, though, United were back leading when Tom Cleverley intercepted a stray pass and fed Michael Owen through the middle. the former Liverpool striker is usually lethal in one on one situations, He dinking the ball over Valdes to restore the Red Devil's lead.
