Arsenal beaten 1-3 by Stoke City at Britannia Stadium on Sunday evening (8/5/2011).

As a result of this defeat, Arsenal remain in the top three with 67 points, nine points behind Manchester United who was still in the top of the standings, and with two games remaining, ensured Arsenal's chance was gone.
Less than half an hour the game run, precisely in the 28th minute, Stoke get the advantage. Jermaine Pennant's cross was met immediately by Kenwyne Jones in the penalty box and the ball has past the goalkeeper Szczesny.
Before the first half finished, in minute 40, Stoke add to the score to 2-0. This time Pennant who became a hero. He released the right leg kick after seeing there is a chance. The ball had on foot Johan Djorou and finally back into the nets Sczezsny.
In the second half, Arsenal had give hope to the supporters when Van Persie shot from just outside the penalty box and break into the nets Asmir Begovic at minute 81. Scores changed to 2-1.
Stoke, however, restored their two-goal advantage two minutes later when Djourou was only able to half clear Andy Wilkinson's low shot, allowing Walters to nip in unchallenged and stroke the ball home from eight yards.
Arsenal's defeat heralds the end of their title dream for another year but, for Stoke, the result is ideal preparation for Saturday's FA Cup final clash against Manchester City.
