Milan fightback Inter 2-1 to win Italian Super Cup

AC Milan won the Italian Super Cup. Against city rivals Inter Milan, the Rossoneri had left behind before hitting back Nerazzurri 2-1 at the Bird's Nest stadium, Beijing on Saturday.

Inter led at halftime after Wesley Sneijder curled in off the inside of the near post to beat Christian Abbiati, a lucky ricochet ensuring the goalkeeper had no chance.

Milan could rise up on the second half. They equalized in the 58th minute thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovic's diving header.

Milan went 2-1 up after a long Abate pass found subtitute Pato to ran onto a through ball. His shot hit the post, but Kevin Prince Boateng slid to knock in the rebound. Boateng celebrated with a spinning kungfu kick that delighted the crowds packing the Bird's Nest stadium.

This is the sixth Italian Super Cup trophy for Milan. Previously, they became champions in 1988, 1992, 1993, 1994, and 2004. As for Inter, this defeat was the beginning of the less well to new coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
