Andre Villas-Boas has Signed a three year Deal with Chelsea as Manager

Chelsea had left behind, but finally win over Spurs, 2-1


Chelsea managed to close the gap Manchester United became only three points. After the Blues overcome the resistance of tight Tottenham Hotspur 2-1.

Playing on home, Stamford Bridge Stadium, Saturday (04/30/2011), Chelsea had left behind. Sandro gave Tottenham the lead when he fired an unstoppable half-volley past Petr Cech from 25 yards on 19 minutes. Chelsea turn things around goal by Frank Lampard and Salomon Kalou. But, chelsea goal, raises controversy.

When Heurelho Gomes spilled Lampard's 45th-minute shot he scrambled back and appeared to stop it from crossing the line, but the goal was given. And Kalou looked offside as he bundled home Didier Drogba's shot late on.

These victory makes Chelsea became 70 points from 35 matches. The Blues left behind three points from Manchester United, who will play against Arsenal on Sunday (01/05/2011).

Edin Dzeko's first Premier League goal allowed Manchester City beat Blackburn Rovers

Manchester City won an important victory against Blackburn Rovers. Roberto Mancini's men won 1-0 thanks to a goal Edin Dzeko.

In the match at Ewood Park on Monday (4/25/2011), City has struggled to overcome host resistance. Although a lot of chances, they failed to score a goal in the first half.

Dzeko who came on in mid second half appeared as a hero. His first goal in the Premier League to make sure The Citizens earn full points.

This victory did not change the position of City ranked fourth in the standings with 59 points from 33 matches. They are four points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the race for a ticket to the Champions League next season. while Blackburn is ranked 16th with 35 points.

Bolton 2-1 Arsenal, Arsenal's Premier League title challenge is all but over


Arsenal were beaten by Bolton Wanderers 1-2. These results make the chance of Arsenal winning the Premier League competition practically gone. The defeat at the Reebok Stadium on Sunday (24/04/2011), making Arsenal remain in the top three standings. With four games remaining to the end of the season, they collected 64 points, nine points behind Manchester United and three points from Chelsea.

Arsenal were below par in the first half and trailed at half-time to Daniel Sturridge's header following a corner. Gary Cahill's header from a corner was blocked on the line by Samir Nasri and Sturrdidge was first to react, and goals.

An early in the second half, Wojciech Szczesny saved a Kevin Davies penalty and a minute later Robin van Persie scored in an equalizer for Arsenal.

The Gunners had enough chances to win the match but were left shocked by Tamir Cohen's poignant late header.

Fernando Torres finally broke his scoring duck in a victory that left West Ham United rooted to the bottom of the table

Chelsea maintain their challenge in the Premier League competition after the last game 3-0 win over derby-club West Ham at Stamford Bridge Stadium, Saturday (23/4/11).

Three Chelsea goals scored by Frank Lampard, Fernando Torres and Florent Malouda. Chelsea's £50m British record capture from Liverpool emerged as a late substitute to end a barren scoring sequence stretching over 903 minutes. The Spanish striker, making his 14th Chelsea appearance since his January move.

Chelsea remained in second place standings with 67 points, the difference 6 points with Manchester United at the top of the standings. While West Ham remained in the bottom with 32 points. The possibility of West Ham are degraded very large when they were unable to win in several games remaining.
